Is iOS 10 messing with my touch recognition?

Hey guys! I've noticed after updated to iOS 10 the screen on my iPhone 6+ has gotten a mind of its own. Most notably when the phone is in portra mode I will press a letter and another letter two spaces away will click. Random popping up of emoji keyboard, and quickly returning and spacing letters. My phone has not been dropped or had any water damage and is in a case since day one. no extreme temperatures either. Sorry for bad punctuation this was written with screwy iPhones

hhas anyone else had experience like this ??

Hello kevinfrench,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities. I know having an issue with the touchscreen on your iPhone is not what you expect. The good news is the following steps will be helpful in resolving your issue of your touchscreen not responding how you expect it to.
  1. If you have a case or screen protector on your device, try removing it.
  2. Clean the screen with a soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth.
  3. Unplug your device.
  4. Restart your device. If you can't restart it, you can force restart your device.

If the screen on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch doesn't respond to touch

Cheers!
